Overcast here but getting brighter. Supposed to be staying dry.

Quizzie is meeting up with 2 of her boyfriends today (she has many others - she's just a tart ). Both Golden Retrievers and both Guide Dog puppies. And we're having a socially distanced walk with some other human beings .

Have a good one.

I see all of the early risers are up, welcome to the day

Yesterday, the 4x4 timing belt and thermostat was replaced and the car was returned back okay.

The old belt had a small nick in it and the old thermostat was dented. Replacement parts were £60, coolant £20 and labour £60, 4 hours work. The mechanic was very happy with the dash cam I gave him in lieu of the bill.

Everyone was happy

Morning folks - not a bad day from a weather point of view - bit of sun, bit of light cloud, no wind and it's pleasantly warm.
This morning, by now, I should have had the tin tent hooked up and be heading for the A1, M1, M42 and the M5 - en route to Winchcombe where we would have spent the first of our 4 weeks jaunt. Oh well, there's always next year.

I heard tell somes sites afe re opening in July but all on site facilities will be closed . So all you can do is pitch up with electric, showers toilets and pot washing areas will all be closed off, so no point really, might as well just use a tent lol

That must be a begger to say the least when you've been looking forward to your jollies then Covid puts the kibosh on everything.

I can't see how it will work Rich - from a personal point of view. I don't want to use my onboard facilities all-day, every day for a week or so - too many drawbacks. Even if you are happy doing so, you're going to have to access waste water disposal facilities, 'other' waste facilities AND fresh water supplies (running an onboard shower uses stacks of water) - all of which carry a risk of contamination.
A large part of caravan holidays is the relaxed, floppy, laid back lifestyle - to be constantly on guard for potential virus problems doesn't appeal at all - roll on 2021

I'd have given you a wave as you'd gone between the A444 and the A5 .

Winchcome - was that for a visit to Prescott Hill Climb?

Hopefully next year .

Andy.

This is where we were headed Andy, for a week, en route to Charmouth near Lyme Regis on the Dorset coast for another 2 weeks. We were then heading back up to Gloucestershire (Slimbridge Wetlands Centre) for a fourth and final week before heading home
