Morning all, a lot cooler than yesterday, I’m hoping the sun makes an appearance.

[QUOTE=coolcat;2817798]......

Next week........It is the turn of the Dual Action Polisher (once I've bought one) and a compound polish to the hull.
Should be fun......

Hi Jeff,

Are you set on using a Dual Action (DA) polisher?

Like several on here I'm also on the Detailing World forum.

I've never worked on a boat - and she looks gorgeous; big respect to you - but - and I may be teaching granny to suck eggs here (apologies if so)...

A DA has a tendency to "bog down" when presented with quite tightly curved panels and/or pressure.

I've a both a DA and a rotary and now the rotary is my first choice.

Yes, you need to treat it with respect and if you get very enthusiastic it can burn through clear coat on a car but it provides a nice steady, predictable polish and it doesn't vibrate anywhere near as much.

There is a "halfway house" in a "forced rotation" machine but I've never used one so can't compare.

Shame I'm not closer as you'd be welcome to borrow my rotary.

As for polishes maybe look at Scholl Concepts and their "Spider Pads" are very good.

Hope that's helpful.

Good Luck.

Morning all - bit greyer today, and a fair drop of rain overnight. If nowt else, it's saving money on the water supply bill as we don't need to water the garden every night

He has photoshopped the blue skies, they are always grey and foul of rain clouds when Jeff is in the county.

You can't trust a man from Clacton - could it be possible that all Jeff's selfie photos have been photoshopped too

I can vouch for Jeff

He is not as daft as I look

He could make a fortune out of his selfies, selling them ,good to put on the mantlepiece to keep the kids away from the fire

Afternoon all, I've been on gardening duties in the drizzlew alkl day laying some more turf & attacking the laurel tree before it gets too high again & out of hand again. I've had enough painkillers to drop a donkey

Smoked haddock, mashed spuds, carrots, sweetcorn & green beans for tea, I'm well into my second Henry's so that I wont know when the painkillers wear off .

I saw the local bus going past this afternoon, first time in two months.

Evening all, a few hours rain today but it let up enough that I could do a few 75 jobs.

Nipped to pets at home this afternoon to pick up a few doggie items, I have never seen a dog so happy as when we walked down the aisle that had all the tennis balls in.

And yes, tennis ball and Frisbee was purchased

Get rid Ian. Hard landscape and astroturf. Being practical, where will we be in maybe 10/20 years time re our ability to maintain such a joint? The care home beckons us all but, just maybe, with a bit of forward planning it might be possible to delay that or avoid it family and God willing.
