Evening all, been out for a long walk with the dogs this afternoon and found some old trains, I have put some pics in the photography section 🙂

We have a peony in the front garden, and haven't seen it flower for years, as we've always been away in the caravan when it does so. This year, we're at home, the buds burst open - and are immediately flattened by heavy rain

Evening everyone. Blowing a gale, complete with rain showers.

Stayed in today, but off the get essential shopping tomorrow.

Found out that our tip is open so will get the garden rubbish up there.

Morning all, yesterday I took Jessica to the hospital to be seen by a Gastroenterologist. On Monday morning she is having an Endoscopy under sedation. I suspect she might have a duodenal or gastric ulcer. Whilst we were waiting to be seen, a young Somalian gent arrived in the waiting room and went to sit right next to us, so I asked him to sit on the chair not marked with a big red X.

He said “oh it’s nothing to worry about, it’s a virus like the flu”. In reply, I asked him to pull up his face mask over his mouth and nose when talking, as it was hanging on his neck like a tie, explaining to him because Mzees like us “older” we are more at risk than he is. He didn’t seem to mind, he was compliant.

What’s everyone up to?

Overcast and drizzling here but supposed to be clearing up soon then throwing it down from 5pm.

Hopefully I'll get to see a very good friend today for a socially distanced cuppa with homemade stem ginger cake. Can't wait.
