This morning torrential rain and flooding everywhere.

This afternoon blue sky and wall to wall sunshine

I shall have to lay down in a darkened room, frost and snow must be on the way

And of course play my Vera Lynn 78rpm,"We'll meet again"

Cool

Torrential rain all day, and it’s still raining. Still at least it’s dampened down the pollen.
Cooked a beef and ale casserole in the slow cooker and it was bloomin’ ‘andsum.

Just finishing off the Ridleys Old Bob ale, used in the casserole.

Cool

Morning everyone from unsettled Cornwall. Yesterday we had torrential rain all day. This morning a beautiful sunrise, and now it’s clouding over.

Essential shopping today. Will take the Bear as she needs go go juice.

Morning all, It's grey & finally stopped raining after yesterdays torrential deluge, I don't think it's going to last long though according to the weather forecast but it's not going to be as heavy

As with most the weather here's all over the place.

Maybe Jeff is an omnipresent God, able to be almost everywhere in the Country with his special weather powers

The river that Quizzie loves swimming in has come up about 4 feet in 2 days . She's such a clever dog that she's very particular where she goes in. Almost as if she "knows" that some of her favourite bits are now dangerous.

Sorry to hear about the "impossible to get to to correct" flooding issue.

I'm not a fan of Windows 10 either but my Sat Nav needs Windows to download updates. In general Win 10 is a pain. I actually quite liked Win 7 .

I'm typing this on an ancient Toshiba laptop running Linux Ubuntu and it's fine. Does everything I need it to for day today computing.

G'day all - and it is a relatively good one too
The clouds have lifted, it's dry and there's an occasional blast of warm sunshine.
I've got my laptop back to prime health again, after uninstalling the Windows Update which failed on Wednesday and left me with something about as technically sophisticated as a house brick.
So ------ life's good innit

Well, after a promising start to the day, the weather has taken a turn for the worse now - heavy grey cloud, some very large rain drops bouncing off the windows and a drop in temperature.
We should have been coming to the end of our first week at Charmouth near Lyme Regis in the caravan - I'm suspecting we wouldn't have been sunbathing if we were there.

My laptop is now fine Steve - I managed to get it to uninstall the latest update and that has cracked it (not literally!). Reading the internet it would seem a lot of people have had similar problems (although some have had NO trouble) - recommendation is to forget about attempting to re-install it for a while until Microsoft have sorted it.

Happy Birthday Mr P

by Philip Gate Keeper, on Flickr

A good friend Mr P, visited with his birthday cake a few days ago. I was the only one to have a slice....

June/July winter months here and turning cooler with less sunny days, more cloudy. It should be warming up in the UK, that is how it usually goes
