Evening all, had our late Aug holiday to Crete cancelled today, ill have a look at the weekend to see if I can transfer it to somewhere else for the same time.

Grey and dry for now here.

Off to a local nature reserve (reclaimed coal mining site) to wear Quizzie out in a bit (https://www.forestryengland.uk/hicks-lodge).

Lots of open space, lots of trees and wooded areas for her to investigate and, of course, the river

.

Oh, and a café that's now open which does lovely cakes

. Just hoping it's not raining when we finish - I don't like eating rain soaked cake outdoors

G'day one and all - still cool and grey here, with a few drops of the wet stuff overnight to keep the grass going. I don't know whether it's just me getting old - but have we got unseasonably cool temperatures for July - I'm wandering around with a fleece on

Its bleddy freezing Rod, its rained on and off hete all morning, I am still wraring my fleece too, this morning I had to put my jacket on it was that cold and wet. Its stopped now and I have had my dinner, so back to the grind while its dry.
