75 Indicator Problem
Indicator Problem
When I indicate to turn left, sometimes have an intermittent problem after a few seconds the indicator starts flashing right even though I have indicated to go left. The stalk is still in the down position to turn left then the indicator changes to show I'm turning right and back to the left or right even left and right together without me changing anything. Can anyone Help with this problem? My Rover garage can not find any diagnostic fault plus the indicator would not go wrong at the garage (typical). |

First thing to do is clean the contacts on the indicator switch.

Also
Also worth checking that none of your indicators have water in them. I have seen a few where water is the problem if not the switch.
If so, dry out with hairdryer and quick squirt of WD40 should sort. Not forgetting if course to look for and sort leak. Remember to check the rear ones too as this us often where water gets into the boot. Water can do very strange things to electricity. Worth checking. |

I have found sometimes that the hazard switch causes a problem or three!
