Drivers side rear caliper
Hi,
while changing the rear discs and pads I had serious difficulty in pushing back the rear drivers side caliper piston, even with the bleed screw open. Anyone hav a good condition one they are willing to sell?. It does appear to still work ok, but I would like a backup just in case. Thanks Paul |

Oddly, I'm trying to get one as well.
Rimmers has he caliper to suit the vented rear discs, but SOB100030 for solid discs wasn't in. One suppler had them, except when it arrived it was the wrong one. Found someone on ebay who apparently has the correct item (for 50 quid)- will find out in the next couple of days when it shows up. Seems much easier to source the caliper for vented discs- might be a common part with some BMWs so possibly greater demand?? Last edited by skellum; 16th April 2020 at 11:26.. Thanks
Thanks for the replies,
I will check eBay for those suggestions. I did buy a used front one from eBay for a previous car about 5 years ago, I didn't need it in the end, which was a good thing. The supposed excellent condition one from eBay, from a low mileage car, was in such poor condition , It went back the same day, sadly at my expense. |

I have just had a quick Google and they do appear to be the same Caliper, As I have just changed my O/S/R caliper due to it being seized.

A few years ago now, I got a new calliper from Eurocarparts. I've still got the old one in the garage, always intended on refurbishing it in case I needed one again in the future.
*edit* They've got this listed: https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pagid-caliper-133110701 They have Paid and Mintex branded calipers. |
