Default Tip for refitting exhaust

My tip for refitting your exhaust.

Raise the front and rear of the exhaust, the front does not have to be has high as the rear. Slide the silencer onto the hangers, I found doing the near side hanger first easier, raise the front so it fits over the 3 studs, attach the remaining hangers (on my diesel there are only 2 sets) slide the front of the exhaust up and home and fit nuts.
I used soapy water over the metal parts of the hanger so the rubbers slipped on easily

I have just done this with help from my wife and with her help, it was a simple job.

don't forget to torque up the exhaust nuts

no, I used 3 trolley jacks, one at the dog leg, one under the silencer and one behind the flexi pipe. Would not want the exhaust resting on my newly painted cross braces

It was not a job I was looking forward to but it was a doddle. I think putting the silencer on the hangers first is the key
