So sorry to hear this. Quite shocked to be honest. I knew he was very poorly, but didn't realise things were quite as bad as they obviously were.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends - a real gentleman who will be sadly missed.

Very sorry to read this - I never met Alan but enjoyed his contributions to the forum and must admit I am shocked by the news. Condolences to his family & friends.

I had the opportunity to meet Alan at the Halfway House meetbin Essex October 2015, a jolly nice bloke.

The news came as a shock when Peter announced to us at the Heckfield meet about the news of Alan's passing. Alan had such dry wit. I expect he will be having a chat with Woof25 their cars.

RIP Alan.

I hope to be able to attend his funeral.
