Default Replacement V6 exhaust for S544 AOX

Hello all.

I’ve been doing some investigating into the old girl.

I have found someone has sliced the exhaust off at the flexi on the down pipe. This means the cats are gone, and so is the second of the lamba sensors.

I know I will have to get a replacement full exhaust now. Are the ones you fine on the likes of eBay okay or not? Is there any recommendations on what to get and what to avoid?

Thank you.

Josh

I had a cat with loose baffles on my 2.0 V6 and replaced all the front section (excluding tailpipe silencer which had previously been replaced) with a Klarius system, 9 months ago.

It is slightly noisier than the oem system but acceptable and sounds good. Passed its first MoT last month no problem. However, all advice seems to be that any replacement will not last too long as the cats do not have the same quantity of rare metals that do the work - time will tell for me.

Have you considered a stainless system?

X-Part appear to have the centre section intermediate pipe and South Lake Minis have (or did have until recently) a genuine original rear back box. Both can be found via an ebay search.

Default Tony Banks

Give Tony Banks a call, based in Leeds (LS124QP), he is the nice chap who checked out my cat the other day to find a missing bolt rather than a broken cat. He built my custom exhaust (not too loud) three years ago and it still looks like new, he will build you a cat for around £200.
His number is 0113 2798944 or 07843836544
