Default Traction control light

2001 Rover 75 2.5 V6.

My car had the optional traction control fitted and I have no issues with this for normal driving. I can turn it on and off at the button just fine, and it actuates the self test when I turn on the ignition without issues.

However, if you manage to trigger it the warning light in the IPK comes on and stays on. The only way to remove the warning is to turn the ignition off and back on.

Any ideas?
