Iv'e been crowned
I was up at Jules today having my Cowley cdt serviced, I noticed a mint set of crowns with good tyres on a car that Jules had in stock. My car has been riding on Unions for the last seven years with no complaints, indeed a nice looking wheel. Of late I had been thinking more and more that I would like, for the sake of originality to go back to crowns, which my car had when I purchased it. After coming to an agreement, Jules swapped my unions over for his crowns and off I set home. To say I am pleased is an understatement, I had forgotten just how magic the ride is on crown alloys, and the complete lack of road noise, happy days.

Crowns are by far the best wheels for a 75 for the very reasons you state.

Are the crowns quieter solely because they're 15" and the unions 16"?

Crowns on my '02. Look natural if a bit small. Like them so much I've just acquired a set of forked spokes from another club member to use while the crowns are being refurbed (thanks Vic). When crowns are done, I'll fit snowies to the spokes. Just need centres for them.

It is very nice to see support for the Rover 75's premier wheels. They epitomise the retro look and the ride comfort they deliver is something which my good friend, Hugh Jarse, has nothng but praise for.
