Xenon bulb change
I have recently replaced a faulty xenon front headlight burner. Bought a pair from dmgrs ... reasonable quality. When coming to fit it into the light unit, i noticed that it can be fitted into the holder on the hella units in two positions. Either with the metal electrode position being at 12 oclock or 6 oclock. Strangely both positions lined up to hold the burner tightly and flush with the holder , and there was provision for the square cut-out on the burner to fit both at the top or bottom. In the end i opted for the electrode to be placed at the bottom. Seems ok , but i wondered if someone who has replaced these before ,actually knows the correct fitting position ...

The earth that protrudes from top of bulb to the base, should be pointing at the 6 o'clock position.

The quality of these Xenon Burners is very good. I brought a pair of burners (6000k ones) in January 2019 from DMGRS, they still look as good as the day I fitted them.
