Question on a 1999 CDT Club

Hi all, hope you don't mind this question and it's probably been asked before, but, while poking about under the glove compartment I came across an unused black 12 pin plug measuring about 25 x 12mm. Can anyone tell me what this is for please?

This is for adding a CD changer....cheap ones are on ebay but make sure you get the right one!
