I've replaced the switch and I can't remember losing any oil, if I'm wrong someone will very quickly correct me.

Regards

ps. I take it this replacement follows your earlier thread about reverse sensors, nice if you can acknowledge the replies

No oil loss what so ever changed about 5 over a few years,
1

19mm deep socket
2

undo the plug.
3

use socket to remove the switch.
4

plug in the new switch to the plug, ignition to II put car in reverse no need to start the car.
5

Press the switch plunger and get someone to check the reverse lights work.
add the new switch and plug it back in
6

Same on my old ZT-T no loss whatsoever - the switch was changed in 2015 and up to moving the car on this year no loss at all.

I found it a bit of a ******. If you look at Steve's 6th pic, you can see that the black socket on the switch appears to be bigger in diameter than the hexagon, and at least on mine, it proved to be...

This meant I couldn't get the box spanner over it - don't know how others manage

But in the end (feel free to cringe here) I just tightened it as much as I could with my fingers, realising that the plug and cable would hold it in place.

Ten or more years later, as far as I know, it still is
