Took the Freelander for a post repair test drive this evening, filled it up with LPG, then on the way home I meandered around Newcastle city centre to gauge how many people were out on the town.
The answer appeared to be not a huge amount.......so much for fears of drunken brawls and suchlike, instead of the anticipated "New Year's Eve" level of celebratory revelry, more like a very quiet midweek night. Seems as if people are scared of their own shadows for some reason Brian |

What was proved, no surprise, "social distancing" goes out of the window in those establishments, but it is understandable.......the answer is still, be wary of all others, and hope that we don't suffer.
I really, really hope that we don't see evidence that proves the distancing was wise advise, if you know what I mean? |

Geordies afraid of their own shadow?
Newcastle lads and lasses scared of a little virus. What has become of the proud inhabitants of the once great county of Yorkshire? Patently breeding a generation of 21st century snowflakes. |

A friend's daughter is due to fly out to Spain next week with a few friends. Apparently she won't be talked out of it and her insurance wont cover anything to do with Covid.
My guess it won't be the holiday she is expecting. The holiday company has already changed their hotel and they also have to make their own arrangements to get to and from hotel from the airport. It will be intersting to find out how they get on. |

i'll tell you what has happened to Yorkshire people who come in the form of my wife an RGN. Who despite seeing 18 of her residents die before her eyes in the last few weeks from this disease still gets up every day and works 6 x 12hour shifts a week....
