Today I found out that the dreadful cold idle is actually awful cold running in general.

So little power that it was at 5000rpm in 1st and unable to accelerate above 15mph for a while...

Dunno where that leaves me in terms of fault finding!

VVC manifold, so not an issue.
It doesn't settle down now until it's fully warm with the temp gauge at 9 o'clock(!!), an IMG leak would clear before then.

Had a busy day

First job was dealing with a few crappycrimps under the passenger seat

Also installed the FBH timer I got from Trikey had to dismantle half the interior to run the wires but pleased with the result

Between doing the above chased the leak in the boot which is dripping onto my HK amp and after research on the forum seam sealed all the joins in the roof/tailgate area. More stripping and sealing tomorrow.

And finally removed the front bumper to access and remove the headlights to replace a blown xenon bulb. Almost a disaster as the provider of the bulbs had sent the wrong type, fortunately I had a working spare bulb in my pile of bits. Took the opportunity to polish the headlights again as they had started to cloud over again despite only being done a year or so ago.

While the bumper was off I checked the gold resistor which Marinabrian had flagged as a fault turns out it had exploded! So add to list of things to fix!

The timer is only 3 wires to make it work.

Hi Smudge
I hate electricity hence my forum name but Trikey is right fitting the timer is easy it takes longer to strip out the interior than do the wiring.

As for the remote I can’t say but I’d be interested in how to do it.
