Default FBH T80 remote

Good afternoon all, I have a webasto telestart T80 system for the FBH that I removed from my scrapper prior to it going off to Rover heaven. My question is this: Is the remote paired to the individual telestart receiver or ould could any compatible remote be used? Mine has been sat with a battery in it for 3 or more yaers and this has leaked and ruined the remote. Currently looking for a replacement but am not sure what will work! Thanks for reading.

Not sure regarding pairing a new remote, but a tip for you if new batteries are not working after a leakage.

If the batteries were Alkaline, just get some vinegar on some paper or a cotton bud and wipe the contacts to remove the residue. This will neutralise it and voila it should work again with new batteries.

Thanks for that. I took the cover off the remote today and the battery acid had spread across the circuit board to the coil so thats why I think its goosed!!

Hi,
Remote is always paired to receiver, but if you find new remote you can get it paired with your existing receiver.
It just need some "playing" with Webasto fuses and remote buttons. I should have exact info how to do it somewhere,if you need it.

I have a brand new Webasto T90 remote that to my knowledge has never even had batteries in. It's not in any packaging and was bought from a member on here some time ago as part of amassing a remote start kit for the FBH. It never went any further..... I don't know the difference between the T80 and T90 remotes but they look similar. I'll be posting it up in the for sale thread now you've reminded me I had it.
