Afternoon all.

Younger son is now house moved .

For those in the North East, Walbottle tip were pretty good and we managed to get rid of almost all the stuff that was left behind. Didn't do the vegetation as we didn't have anything really suitable to get it all into the tourer and anyway we had more pressing duties such as moving the kitchen table so we could have somewhere to eat .

Wouldn't do house removals as a job. What a time consuming pain and talking of pain I'm now aching from places I didn't know I had .

What with the holiday and the trip up north the trusty tourer has done a bit over 1100 miles in 10 days. So sorry, the fuel shortage is my fault . We didn't have any real trouble getting diesel, just a bit of a wait in Liskeard and after that just filling up as usual.

Back in the Midlands and the tourer's getting a bit of a clean for the MoT tomorrow. Never think it's fair on the folks that are giving her a good check over to present a filthy car.

Look out for the MoT result tomorrow.

Train right thru Phil. Not a bad service, just one change at Exeter. Long journey though, about 8 hours Edinburgh to Exeter, 40 odd minutes Exeter to Paignton. The girls are quite happy on the train, they just settle.

There is "catering" in the form of a limited selection of sarnies, snacks, hot and cold drinks, nothing substantial. We usually take food and a flask.

You're losing yer touch Jeff Bleddy kids & footballs, They broke a glass panel on the greenhouse at teatime & it's never a straight swap 2'X2' panel for panel but always a triangular pane that needs cutting, Good job I've got plenty of spare glass & a glass cutter. Job done time for a cold Henry.

There is a caveat Phil. The Cross Country service train from Edinburgh, the "trolley dolly" discovered the electronic till/register thing wasn't working so unable to sell anything. It was rectified en route but it was well into the journey.

Same up here Bob, Monsoon season again, It's absolutely hammering it down to the point I've had to come out of the conservatory because of the deafening noise of the rain on the roof.

Evening all, been a nice day up here in Northumberland, a tad chilly now though, just returned from the pub where a couple of pints were enjoyed with some good company from a certain person from the people’s republic.

Meg is now making herself at home in the new abode.
