Evening all.

Bit of a contrast today.

This morning was fun and games with the dogs - lovely.

This afternoon was shovelling (more) gravel - not so lovely.

And this evening is a simple, straightforward and much anticipated meal of....

Egg & Chips

Evening all, shoveling gravel is not fun Andy, a well deserved meal is in order I'd say.

Try being the fireman on a mainline steam loco. Did that a umpteen times in the early '80s, bleedin' hard work. Did it because it was something different. I'm right handed but had to learn to shovel left handed, awkward shovelling right handed because you're fighting the driver for space.

Some of the older guys who were firemen in the steam days said some of the older, "unfriendly", drivers would take a piece of chalk, draw a line down the middle of the cab "that's your side, this is my side, stay on your side!".

Reminds me of that episode of Steptoe & Son where they divided the house in half.

Morning all.

Grey but dry and quite mild.

More gravel shovelling to look forward to once I can get moving .

Take it steady everyone.

Rained in the night but brightening up now.

Beef casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.
