Default Car won’t start after flat battery

Hi. I went to start one of my 75s after a few months. It didn’t start due to flat battery. Tried jumping it but no luck. Removed the battery and took
It home and left it on charge overnight using a battery charger I have. Went to fit it this morning and the car won’t start at all. I briefly saw what looked like a red alarm light on the dash before it disappeared. When turning the key, it does nothing. Doesn’t even try to turn over. Any idea what the issue is?

Thanks.

If the battery has been in a discharged state for some time, it's possible that it is no longer able to hold a charge large enough to crank the engine i.e. is truly dead. I would try another battery from say one of your other cars that start easily.

Did the engine turn when you used jump leads?

1/ Are you sure the battery is good ??

2/ Did you check the voltage before fitting it to the car ??--( Has to be 12.6 volts minimum. )

3/ Do the car lights work ??

4/ Do you hear a click from the starter when you turn the key?

If no lights work are the battery connections good ??--

Replied to on your Facebook post.
No oil pressure light seen when key turned to position 2 so something is not talking to the ECU.
You could try swapping out the main relay no 4 under the bonnet with one of the other yellow relays. It’s worked for me in the past. I would also check your ecu for dampness / corrosion at the pin terminals.
Edit… hope this helps and that it’s just not specific to an auto…

Rav, how many times did you try to start the car with the discharged battery? It is possible to scramble the rolling code between the immobiliser and transponder chip. See BigRuss' warning.

Yep, I would guess a resync of the immobiliser will be in order.
