Problematic passenger door lock
Good aafternoon aall,
not sure how my problem has materialised but I have noticed that the inside door lock handle on the passenger door wont open the door. anymore Nothing has broke and having removed the middle screw to release the whole mechanism, if i move the whole thing foward by about an inch, pulling the handle opens the door, but putting it back in its place doesnt. Can the handle to lock cable somehow become stretched? looks a right PITA if is has to be changed. I used a endoscope to look inside the door to the lock but couldnt see anything amiss. Any ideas? I assume this is a MOT failure item (its due imminently) but if I dont screw the inner lock handle back in to the door, it works fine!!

Any suggestions why the internal lock wont open the door as per my previous post?
