hi all,

first cooler day of the year (autumn) and the fogged up windows appear.
does anyone have ideas on how to keep windows clear in this weather apart from using the air con.

Have front windows open a crack, unless in fumey traffic

I have also found that running heater directed at windscreen as soon as you set off tends to help.

Managed OK on the cars I had before which weren't equipped with aircon

Or if your aircon is fubarred take look at threads on here for common failure points often the alloy pipework wears through at various points

Also clean it with glass cleaner dirt on it will hold moisture

Check the plenum?

A small amount of water in there can cause condensation.

Have you also checked to see if Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio are in there?

Check plenum is dry, and the same for the filter , and clean then inside of the windows well, and use the air conditioning.

I run the aircon on 'auto' but when it came back from a service a couple of days ago it kept steaming up until I realised the garage had set to 'manual'. It soon cleared.

There's some stuff on the market that stops crash helmet visors fogging up, it somehow stops the moisture droplets. There's also the option to stick some of those crystal packs under the seats that absorb moisture, I've used them in the past and they're like a big silica gel pack.
