Evening all, just back from 5hr shopping trip, total bought 1 pair jeans for g/daughter and some cakes for tea. What a waste of a day,not quite, sneaked into Wilko to get can of sparkle silver to try on my refurbish wheel. Put up result tomorrow if it's fine.

Managed to avoid all the shops today (well, apart from the paper shop this morning). SWMBO took herself off on the bus (she's a non-driver) to Middlesbrough to do some shopping - and left me to my own devices, without even leaving me any jobs to do - so I didn't .................do anything
I did order a few 'stocking fillers' off Ebay - got an extra person to buy for this year, now daughter's boyfriend has moved in with her - so I wasn't completely idle.

I have indeed kind sir - I haven't read it yet, as the plateful of bacon, sausage, fried egg and mashed potato which SWMBO placed in front of me somehow took priority

Talking of food I bought one of those round halogen ovens today. Now that I'm single I find it really wasteful just using the main cooker to cook a meal for one, so I thought I would give one of these halogen ovens a try. Its now on cooking my tea as i type this out. I better go and check it just in case I cremate my dinner :-))
