Hi Jeff.
It's wasn't to bad buddy after I put the fire out. Seriously though I'm quite impressed by it. It seemed to cook me dinner nice and even, and its just the right size for a meal for one, so it should save me a little more on electric bills compared to using the main oven .:-))

It been quite an eventful week so far.A few days back I was upstairs sorting my clothes out when I heard the door bell going. Like a fool I rushed down the oak stair case in my socks and slipped.. I managed to fall head first down the stairs and when I came round my head was wedged up tight against the brick fire place. I,ve managed to graze my forehead and nose and left a big lump on my head. The most painful part was the blooming great big carpet burn on my left knee .I hadnt a clue how long I was out for ,but I had a cracking headache the next day. A few days later another small drama happened. I left the back door open for about 20 minutes one and somehow a Squirrel managed to find its way into the house closely followed by the cat chasing him..It was total chaos in the living room. The Squirrel resembled a child's power ball bouncing from wall to wall , up the curtains etc with the cat going mental trying to catch it. It took the best part of 30 minutes to get the cat out of the way and get the squirrel out. Luckily no damage was caused to any ornaments by the rabbid creature and peace and quiet returned again. You've got to look on the funny side of it..:-)))

I have one of those ovens, a present from Woof25 and here is a simple, tasty and quick recipe.

1. Unfreeze salmon, 2 mins in microwave in a bowl. Pour the liquid left over into the bottom of the halogen bowl.

2. Place salmon fillet onto the halogen grill.

3. Add honey & mustard, chilli sauce to the top of the salmon.

4. Cook in halogen oven for 12 mins @ 75C-80C

5. Meanwhile cook baby potatoes in microwave +3mins, turn over then +3mins.

6. Side dish of grated carrot, add to frozen peas. Cook for 2 mins microwave

There you have it - Bon Appetite

p.s I get a pack of skinless and boneless salmon fillets from ASDA for about £4, Tescos about the same price, but Tescos fillets have the scaley skin if you like that sort of thing

That sounds very nice ( your making me feel hungry talking about good food ). I think this little cooker will encourage me to be a little more adventurous in my cooking habits. Time for a bigger fire extinguisher me thinks :-))

I will put my hand up. My wife and myself sometimes have to spend weeks to months apart. Not because we are unhappy or anything, it's how life is sometimes. It's her recipe and it is so easy. I like the way the halogen cooks the food. It's trial and error until you get the hang of the heat settings. I love it. The salmon can be replaced with chicken, if you don't fancy the fish
