Morning all, It's a bright sunny morning here albeit cold.

Haircut:

I go to Diamond Plaza in Nairobi known as Little India for my haircut, where I get a No 3 and it costs 700 Kenya shillings which includes an Indian head massage. No other extras are on offer.

The head massage is an educational experience and this involves slapping the top of the head several times and rubbing in some lineament to make the head feel fresh and cool. Apparently it’s traditional.

A 300 shilling tip rounds off the haircut to 1000 Ksh or £6.55. I forego the head massage as I find it’s not very pleasant having the head slapped.

I also refuse the lineament as it is perfumed and the smell of it seems to attract the mosquitoes and flies. Apart from that, the barber is cheerful and pleased to see me.

I imagine when your out and about driving the RR and the caravan to the pitch at the site, you must feel like you are “King of the Road”, what a fabulous feeling and something to look forward to

Roll on summer

Morning Phil I have visions of the head slapping like in the Benny Hill TV show

I was going to do some baking today but I've got three cut fingertips from a broken glass bowl yesterday so I'll wait until they heal up.

It's the last day of the month so that means step ladders out to record the electric gas meter readings up near the ceiling Don't trust the energy company one iota to get my readings correct, They still haven't since we were put onto their books (octopus) by OFGEM since our energy company went belly up two years ago.

Mornin'. Shattered after two 5am rises (Ging dayshift), today was the last for now thank God. I try going back to bed but can't get back to sleep, just toss and turn. Need to build up the enthusiasm to get under the kitchen sink, had to kill the dishwasher last night, problem with the drain hose. It happened too late to investigate last night.

Yikes! under the sink! If it's a job where you have to bend down then it's a problem for me, I just cant bend anymore, I cleaned all the greenhouse windows with a bleach/soap mixture except for the lower ones inside, I couldn't even clean them with the extendable brush.

I've been fertilising some of the raised beds with horse manure, chicken poop pellets ready for the shallot sets that I'm waiting to arrive from Wilko's. I used to like going into Wigan on the train to Wilko's but it's too much of a walk from the station at present with my bad knee so online shopping it is.

Begger! There's always summert! The hard drive in this desktop PC in the conservatory has been making some weird noises lately, I think it's time to get another before it fails as it's around eight years old & was secondhand when I put it in
Just ordered one off the ebay & am now downloading the latest Linux Mint 21 'Vanessa' OS onto a USB flash drive ready for it.

I'm going to make a list of everything that's on this hard drive to re-install on the new hard drive which is going to take ages to install everything again

Buggeration! I thought there was maybe a blockage but the drain hose is split in several places near where it curves down into the plastic drain pipe. Hose ordered (only about a tenner) but swapping it looks like a PITA, have to remove the side of the dishwasher, to do that you have to remove the lid.... Going to remove the kickboard under the cupboards to let the air circulate, dunno how long its been leaking.

Cool

Morning everyone.

A bit of a grey start to the day.

Taking Banana to a local body shop to get an estimate on her sills, they are starting to bubble. Then onto the tyre shop to get her tyres checked out and I need my spare wheel swapped over. Currently have a gridspoke and there is a nice 11 spoke that needs to go on.

Then home to start on the Lotus again.
