Default Rover 75 Connoisseur SE 2005 Blue 1.8 Manual

For Sale

Spectacular Rover 75 Connoisseur SE 1.8 Manual for sale, this was my father's car which I fettled and ran a couple of years ago but now need to find a good home for.

As stated it is the underappreciated 1.8 normally aspirated 120HP K Series 4 cylinder with the 5 speed manual gearbox, this gives an engaging drive with relatively short gearing and that lovely revvy engine, plus reasonable running costs.

The head gasket was done about 5 years ago and the engine has been thoroughly flushed out. I have just had the Aircon / Climate control redone with new condenser and fan resistor. All service items recently done including new (Lucas) engine oil and MGR filter. New windscreen fitted.

Main Details:

Rover 75 (Facelift) Connoisseur SE

Royal Blue (JFM) with Dark / Light Grey leather interior (PPJ)

1.8L N/A K Series 120HP VVC (head gasket done)

5 Speed Manual

16" 'Fork' alloys in VGC with decent Goodyear tyres

All Connie SE features including Climate control and heated front seats.

Registered 23/02/2005 on Irish / Northern Ireland plate but logged as 14/06/2006 in the UK when it was given a 54 plate.

Now wearing personal Reg plate TR54 RVR (for TR4nmere RoVeR5 !)

Lovely paintwork, interior, and general condition. Great to drive.

Brand new windscreen.

MOT till end of October

Further points :

Fitted 1.8 Torpedo badges on front wings

Fitted the missing second horn unit (deleted by factory)

Full size spare wheel (15")

Replaced front coil springs, protector clamps added.

Cabin filter and air filter changed, new spark pliugs.

All new brake hoses and fluid, clutch fluid changed.

Rover front undertray and fixings supplied (not fitted).

Negative points...

The usual weak handbrake, ideally needs the Rover R50 Mini linkage fix.

Coolant hoses could do with changing for peace of mind (1 supplied).

Battery is a little tired if left but is fine with use.

Price :

£3,000 to fairly reflect mileage, condition, all recent expenditure and attention.

Happy to discuss details and send further information.

Collection from Wirral CH62

Summary:

Lovely example with plenty spent on it, everything works, ready for a new owner to use and appreciate !
