Hi James, you will need an ISO lead # http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CELSUS-AUD...item20b9495944 I got one from these people. I actualy went there as they are close to me so I only paid £5.00
Anyway, I know these work as I fitted a Syphony to my Rover after removing the Harmony. Sound much improved. And to connect your wheel controls I used this diagram..... And James, if I can do it, anybody can.......lol. NB. here is a thread that I followed, of course you do not have to buy the expensive lead, just buy the cheaper one, ok? http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=18173 Last edited by MangoMan; 22nd July 2011 at 18:34.. |

I am very surprised the the two units don't simply swap as they are both out of the same cars.. Still, at least i sort of know now.. Thank you. ... |

As poppy says James, it looks more daunting that it is, really. It's just the plugs that are different because the original Harmony was a BMW design whereas the Symphony is a generic Alpine, which has fitting like all other modern units.
Even if you change it to something else, you will still have the same problem. But the advantage of putting in the Symphony is that once you've done it, to put in another type of Head Unit is real easy as the plugs are common! Be Brave Man!!! lol. |

Is the ISO connector for the steering wheel controls the same as the rover 25.? I think it may be because it is BMW one.... Mt brother bought it from Halfords for 35 quid for his 25 which he no longer has... I may have the lead for that part somewhere, If it is the same, James can have it... |

I don't know, I just spliced the Blue/Orange & Blue/Purple into postition number 2 & 3 on the grey/black plug of the ISO Lead and everything works fine from the Steering Wheel.
