Sat Nav wiring
Hi,
I'm new to this so I hope I'm posting in the right place. I have a Rover 75 Club & I bought the original Sat Nav/TV radio unit + the gps unit & disc. Does anyone know where I can buy the wiring between the gps unit & the radio? thanks rob |

I have a 75 Tourer with this Hi-line system and I´m ready to upgrade mine to the new 2 Din headunit from Radioguy. Do you know if this scheme in your pics is the same for the tourer? And, like my car is a left hand drive (I´m a Portuguese member), do you think all the locations of the diferents components are similar but in reversing side, like for example, the radio antenna diversity amp are in the passenger side D post or in the driver side. Sorry for my poor english, but I believe you understand what i meen. Thanks José (Air Rover) |

As far as I am aware, there is no difference between left hand and right hand drive cars (but I stand to be corrected).
However, on the tourer everything is in the same location except for: the Sat Nav antenna which is roof mounted, with an extension cable running down to the rear quarterlight window on the right handside of the car as you face it looking at the boot. Also located on the right above the same window is the radio diversity amplifier (or certainly was on the tourer I removed parts from at a breakers yard). The TV amplifier is over on the left hand side again above the left rear quarterlight window I believe. The video module and radio tuner are still to be found in the spare wheel well. Hope that helps. BTW, Messenger will have more detailed information, as he has removed the tourer wiring harness from a car he is breaking at the moment. |
