I've been hunting for a few new bits for mine, to be eventually sold in the Shop too. Shiny things...

Did you use any EGR cleaner Mark? Saw some in halfrauds the other day when getting some battery aid tablets but was about 10 quid didn't think it would make a huge difference but if its made a big difference i might buy some when i go past next

I left the EGR valve and inlet manifold soaking in Gunk engine degreaser overnight. The inlet manifold is still a bit manky looking inside but better than it was. The EGR valve was as clean as a whistle after using a small knife, a brush and a lot of patience! The inlet of the EGR valve and inlet manifold were so clogged up that the bore was probably reduced by almost 50%, so the car definitely feels like it has a load more power now Just about got rid of all the black stuff off my hands now after lots of scrubbing!

I've just finished fitting a new fuel filter, air filter and pollen filter. Part filled the fuel filter with some Wynns injector cleaner and poured the rest in the 1/2 filled tank so it should be as good as it can be once the injector cleaner has been through the system. Left it stood after turning it over a couple of times to get the cleaner into the injectors after reading that someone else had done the same on here

Cool

Took Redfive down to the RAF Mosquito Memorial at Bradwell on Sea in Essex. I've been before but memorial is looking a bit tired and covered in bird droppings.
If going follow the directions for power station.

Took the car out for a run, once I got it started, as due to weeks of no running the battery had gone flat. Ended up calling out the AA breakdown service as it died on me halfway thru the day. Battery test concluded it was 'stuffed'. Was able to get car started, so drove straight home and put my spare battery in from an 827 I wrecked. Battery cold cranks and size not as big as what came out (540 vs 600). But it will do in the interim till I get a new correct sized one (quoted around $250 NZD for a new Century 640CCA one).

Cracked on with pricing up new front suspension (literally everything) as I have a few knocks, it's quite soft and I think the old girl deserves some money spending on her.
