New camera time :D
Hi chaps, its always exciting picking up new kit.
As some may know from previous threads I got rid of the Nikon and went back to Canon, so i've just picked up my new 600D and as the kit lens is poor ive also picked up the EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 and my all time favourite EF-S lens....the 10-22mm for my super wide stuff. I've also started shooting more portraits so expect me pointing my cameras at you and your cars at the meets. |

Sounds a nice bit of kit. I could do with a few high resolution shots of my car. I'll get the coffee.

I used to have the 10-22 efs lens as well.
It is a cracking crop body wide-angle lens, it didn't get used as often as it should and I had to sell it to help fund a new telephoto a while back. That's the good thing about good glass, they hold on to their value very well and you don't lose much money on them. Camera bodies on the other hand Enjoy the new camera and look forward to seeing more of your work with it and the glass

Same reasons though, I sold it to fund some 580 speedlites. I've just got the 17-55 on hire, to be honest its a nice lens and the f2.8 is useful but it's too limited for what i'd need it for. If it went to 85mm i'd look at buying one but i'd sooner just use the f1.8 85mm prime instead over the 17-55mm. |

I had a look at the reviews for the 600D Alan and they all had positives. I saw that it uses Digic 4 for processing and reducing the amount of noise quite significantly. I await to see how you find this. Quite an impressive spec overall. I think you will have a lot of fun finding out. Enjoy!

It's the fastest constant zoom on the market and has been making serious noises in the photo forums and mags. I got it mainly for using in the cat pens at the rescue centre and I've been blown away by it. It is so tack sharp and has lovely bokeh. This is a Jpeg straight off the card with no editing just to give you an idea, taking in to account that photobucket is quite lossy and does tend to soften images as well. I would suggest trying/hiring a copy, it's a good 'un.
