Symphony to Alpine CD changer lead/connector
Hi,
I have an 02 car with the low-line symphony and an Alpine CD changer in the glovebox. I want to experiment connecting something else in place, but without butchering my loom. Anyone got a spare connector/cable arrangement that I could use to experiment on? Just the connector which mates with the car loom and some of the cable would be dandy. I can cut this up as needed. I have attached a picture of the connector in question. If anyone knows what they are called, or where I can buy them, please let me know. Cheers, Richard. |

Which bit do you want to change - the Symphony or the CD changer?

Sorry, I didn't make that clear! I don't want the changer. I am going to look into some sort of iPod/aux/BT item in place of the changer. In fact, today I removed the changer from the glovebox.
I want to be able to experiment connecting other things without cutting into the car loom. So at the moment I have the cable from the symphony dangling about in the glovebox (it used to join into the changer). So I need a connector like the one pictured. If someone has a broken/unwanted changer, then cutting off the cable from there would do nicely. |

The only extra cable I know of is the 20-foot extension that was used to relocate the CD changer to the boot. It probably has the connector you're after but you'd have to buy the whole cable.

Thanks. That gives me something else to search for!
I guess most likely will be someone with an unwanted or broken CD changer, and they could snip off the connector... |
