Got this one earlier, bearing in mind that we all share an interest in particular vehicles on this site, and I've never owned this type...........

We will replace the defective airbag(s) for FREE and may even be able to provide a loaner vehicle for use during the repair process. YOUR SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this recall may cause you. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this urgent recall. Regards, Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep Owner: Felipe Gutierrez Make & Model: 2005 Ram 1500 VIN #: 1D7HA18D85S147956 Recall: PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR Recall: DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR " I wonder if Felipe is missing out on this? They have obviously sent you this by mistake.
Maybe Felipe has a similar email to you. It does look like a pukka recall, though. My Chrysler 300c had this airbag recall work done, in November, and they also fitted a new ignition with 2 sets of keys.

The Americans take recalls a lot more seriously than we do here, I know I have heard of vehicles being recalled over there that we have here and they don't get the same recall?

Yes - BMW is being investigated over the total electrical failure on some models. Recalled to be fixed in most markets but not the U.K. until a chap swerved to avoid a BMW stalled in the road - lights and hazards U/S because of this fault - and the poor guy hit a tree and died.

Felipe Gutierrez is a footballer. Like most badly written pigeon english scam emails it contains just enough truth to make people wonder if it is legitimate.
