Topping up the clutch reservoir is a serious PITA! Remove the lower dash panel under the steering wheel, two screws at the forward edge then it pulls off. The pedal box cover should just drop out of the way. You now need to get your hand up the left hand side of the clutch pedal and feel for the screw cap . . . . I warn you, even with average size hands its probably gonna hurt! You might have to use a long screwdriver or similar and a bit of force to get the cap turning. You need to manoeuver the cap clear of a section of wiring that is hard against it. Once the cap is of remove the rubber "condom" seal. Best way to check the fluid level is to dip it with your finger. I found the best way to add fluid was with a syringe with a length of aquarium air hose on it. Then you just have to put it all back together again.
All in all its easier (and less painful) to find and fix the leak! |
