On the M1 you're lucky to do more than 65 in the middle lane most of the time, and 60 if you can't be bothered with continuously changing lanes and stay in the slow lane.

M25 is the same, you have to be in top lane just to get to 70 (the speed limit)
You want to get out more!

A1(M) north of York

M5 south of Worcester (not at peak travelling times for holiday makers)

Believe me - cancel it. Contact Marinabrian or Big Russ. They do the remap that's really worth having.
BTW if you have a CDTi, you should have 129/131 bhp anyway.

I'm jealous!

I'd love a half empty road to manage 70 on

I'm waiting for a a reply from someone I've emailed, before I make my announcement.

It's taken me 3 years to get to this stage of despair - I've reached a high plateau and a day or two doesn't matter much to me.

I beg your patience gentlemen (and any ladies who are following this). Salvation for cars returning less than average fuel consumption is - at least in part - is getting closer.

Default Decision Time

Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I'm making my offer to 4 people instead of 2, in case there is a problem for anyone I've chosen getting to a T4 diagnosis session sometime this summer.
I'm off for a break now, so I'll be sending a PM to each of these good folks in about 10 days time:

dotsie

Livermpj

NigelOBB

92 Squadron

If any of the above decline my offer, I may approach others who have been kind enough to provide details.

Bye for now

Robert

Purely for info.

Just brimmed the tank, 52.66ltrs, 502 miles = 43.3 (ish) mpg [ previous fill was also a brim ]

Why the (ish), well my tank can be a pain to brim, always have to add a bit. wait & add a bit more... repeat a few more times, get anoyed looks from next driver.....

not bad for a slush box, well I'm happy

I've been conducting my own experiment between October and may I was averaging 27.4 mpg with a duff thermostat, after a visit to Brian after a visit to Brian this went up to 33mpg still with a duff stat.. I started to use an ap called Roadtrip at the end of May here's my results so far.. I'm off work in a coupe of weeks and plan to fit an inline stat now I have a good average to bench mark from..
