Default 2.5l Contemporary for £200?

Hi all

My neighbour has a 54 plate contemporary saloon. She is about to scrap it and has been offered £180. She would let me have it for £200.

44k miles, 10 months mot, and has only 1 known fault. The auto gearbox needs new mounts (she has been told). Is this an expensive job? I would like to save it if I can.

Any initial thoughts on costs involved?

Andy

Thanks. Funds are limited at the mo. The lady in question has had 75's for years and loves them but her husband has had a stroke and needs a smaller/higher car for easier access.

I am happy to take it as long as the autobox isn't too expensive to fix.

If you don't want it I'd be interested in it.

I would hate to see it going for scrap.

Cheers. I will certainly talk her out of scrapping it.
