Default car tax diesel

evenin guys.....
i hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

recently i have been looking at peoples adverts claiming that the CDTi is only taxed at £85 for 6 months. Now i am pretty sure that i pay £100+ for my 53 plate CDTi auto.

does anyone know the score???????or am i being very blond

Just had my renewal through for £165 for 12 months. Mine's a manual and I believe the automatic is taxed a lot higher.

I have the Diesel Auto and pay £245 for 12 months, 6 months is £134.....

Surely thats daylight robbery............an auto cannt pollute that much more surely.
