M62 wrong way crash - two killed.
Looks like a drunk 22 year old in a Vectra has killed two guys.
If the BBC report is true - then I hope they lock him up and throw the key away. They won’t of course - he’ll get a few years of which he will serve less than half. |

I don't know how it can be called an accident, drunk driver murders two men IMO. How many times do these people survive and the innocent get killed.

How about this as an idea?
If you are the cause of a collision then there must be a retest. And, because you are clearly unable to drive your vehicle in a safe and considerate manner then the test is to IAM (or similar) standard. The costs and time involved are totally down to you, you cause a collision, you pay for it. If you don't cause a collision then the status quo is undisturbed. Too harsh? Andy |

I’ve been driving for over 50 years now and have even passed the IAM test.
I’ve always said that we should ALL have to re sit a driving test of some sort to retain our licence. I passed my test in a Morris Minor but could jump into a McLaren F1 ( I wish) tommorow without any further training. In the work environment when a new piece of equipment comes on board chances are everyone goes on a training course to learn how to operate it. |

Yes but, this incident isn't to do with driving ability..It's akin to murder in my book, drunk driver up the wrong side of a motorway..could have killed many more..jail for 25 years, lifetime driving ban.
