Some of the stuff people make is incredible , Super hero suits flying planes etc ..

I'm too impatient to do that sort of thing ..

but my lil printer is still making bits for its bigger brother ..

Design is a bit fluid .... forever changing something

Have a peep at Thingverse or design your own stuff on tinkerCAD just as a starter

Default Almost there

All the odd plastic stuff printed now, a few changes to the Hot end and the X carriage, now all red plastic..
gone from a Bowden drive to a direct drive extruder design. so the same as my little wooden frame printer thats made all the bits..
This one from amazon,

Just wiring and where to put the Electronics boxes . and which LCD display to use?

Oh and all the Marlin programming to set it up, Version 2 has just been released with lots more features so going to have to learn it all again !

Only got a Standard 210mm square bed at the mo, but the frame will do another 50mm or so in the X and 100 in the y and total of 320 in the Z ( up) , but finding a not standard bed is hard work . might have to make one .

it lives

Managed to remember stuff and setup The Marlin Firmware with a lot of help from the internet ,

All 3 Axis's and the extruder calibrated and the hot bits get hot.

Just a couple of cooling fans to add and tidy up the birds nest of cables.

Angry

Lots gone on with this incessant rain and not able to do any MG working.

Lot of fidding done recently, swapping of motors due to Axis jumping , and changing the cabling to get the directions correct again.
Different make motors need different cable setups, so it either swap cables and/or firmware changes, and a complete loss of all the Firmware meant I had to start from Scratch ..
At least I'm getting programming practice

Stronger extruder spring, and a bit of old broken glass to print on .

Downgraded the beta test firmware to Marlin 1.19X and reprogrammed it all again

But at last something not recembling a birds nest .

A 20mm calibration cube in a delicate pink , very close on size but not spot on so needs an E step adjustment in the firmware.

.

next additon is automatic bed levelling, printed the extra bracket ready for more firmware fiddling.

But the sensor only registers a max 4mm
to the metal bed and i've 3mm of glass in the way
