I've been reading this evening Waymo are still going ahead with fully autonomous cars and have just ordered 62000 Chrysler Pacifica PHev's and 20000 Jaguar ipace ev's doesn't bode well for taxi drivers.

I wasn't aware of that, I thought he was sat in the passenger seat, or am I thinking of a different case?

You might have been thinking of the case where the driver got into the passenger seat in the UK. I don't think he had an accident though.

At least not in the car on that particular day. It's open to question whether one occurred at birth.
