Good to see that the door capping's have now come to fruition as per Trebor's photos.
Many of you may not be aware but I made up my own of similar shape using thin ply and real walnut veneer. I simply bonded them onto the door cards using a regular bond like no nails. During this summer's intense heat I have not experienced any problem whatsoever with them lifting off etc. so I would anticipate this method of bonding would also suffice for Simons product. Here's a shot of one of my rear doors and one showing the front including my dash. I also have Simons rear cubby box inlay complimented with chromed cups ex Vanden Plas 1300 Last edited by Jim Jamieson; 4th November 2013 at 21:28.. Reason: add photo x 2 |
