Default Engine undertray fixings

Does anybody know the Rover part number for the screws which hold the engine undertray in place please?

I don't know if they are different between models but the ones I want are for my 2002 CDT Conn SE.

I have found the part numbers quoted in Mike's undertray removal 'how-to'

The numbers for the screws and the washers do not show up in EPC however.

Does anybody know if the fasteners for the wheel arch liner (CZM 100050) are the same please?

I get a "vibration" kinda sound when idling and under acceleration but it's smooth and quiet when i'm just cruising along??... does that sound like the undertray thingy??. It's not a marble in a tin can, more like when a wheel needs balanced kinda feel??

Paul,

From the official MGR parts Catalogue:

KZM000050 Fastener-quick release

Wheel arch fasteners are different.

It could be the undertray - get it up on a ramp to check that all the fasteners are in place.

Thanks Mike

April 2007 EPC doesn't seem to show them

I do hope they are still available

I include the following extract from a forum discussion 'elsewhere' for which acknowledgement is given to Johndotcom:-

Quote:
KM100030 Washer Quantity 8
KZM100020 Retainer-trim Quantity 4 up to serial no: 321637
KZM000040 Retainer-trim Quantity 4 from above serial number.
KZM100010 Fastener-quick release Quantity 8 up to s/no: 321637
KZM000050 Fastener-quick release Quantity 8 from above serial no.
KRR000030 Pad-insulation
Now I really am confused, as the earlier fastener as shown above does appear on the April 2007 EPC.

My car is slightly below the serial number given as the changeover so I may be lucky

Although you can get the fasteners, you may be wasting your money (they're overpriced) as the corroded retainers could be failing to hold them securely. On the advice of another member, I replaced the rear fasteners with plastic tie-wraps - just as easy to fit and remove, and far more secure.

The even cheaper alternative which also makes servicing easier is to chuck the undertray in nearest bin? Dave

Not really, as it increases the engine noise level considerably.
