![]() Hello all,
I noticed that my trusty 75 tourer was due to pass a mileage milestone today so I stopped at the side of the road and took a photo: ![]() (Ignore the MPG figure) Only about another 101,000 miles until it joins the moon club, but I'm enhancing its chances of getting there by having a major bit of welding done this Wednesday. I'd spotted a scab on the sill some time ago and should have done something about it as when I got round to giving it a poke with a screwdriver, it turned out to be quite bad! The water has clearly got under the underseal and rotted it over time. Thankfully the jacking point is still intact and will be getting a proper clean and coating of rust-proofing before being covered up again: ![]() I have cut the rear sill out of a scrap MGZT-T so hopefully my welding guy will be able to do a good job. The other jacking points and sills will all be getting a very thorough injection of wax as well! I'll post a pic once it's been repaired :-) |
