Default Sealey AK7500 ?

Sealey WheelEazy™ Wheel Fitting & Alignment Tool - AK7500

Anyone used one? The reviews say that the front wheel can rotate and slip perhaps in use. (Just leave in gear??) Otherwise, looks like a good thing for my bad back and knees!

If it is just for your 75/ZT why not consider this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334375280678

I bought one earlier this year and it does make refitting wheels to my 75 much easier, and only a fraction of the cost of the Sealey item.

Oh, just noticed you are Roverless - but other sizes are available, so finding one for a Kia shouldn't pose a problem.

I remember using something similar to that on a Passat many moons ago. (Came with the car).
The only trouble was that it was plastic.🧐
The 1st chance I had to use it was about 5am, mid December, when I got a puncture on an unlit country road (as is the way of things).
Of course…..it broke. Snapped off with 1/2 of it stuck in the bolt hole.🤬
Fun and games in the dark, with frozen digits!

I have had one of those foraround 3/4 years. They are excellent and take the strain off your back. Used it Saturday when doing a front brake pad change.

Thumbs up

I've got one too, helps a lot, takes the weight of the wheel and saves struggling.

Years ago people would simply use long screwdrivers for this.

Thanks folks. Much appreciated. I used to pop truck wheels on with ease but these days it takes me all my time to pop a Polo in my mouth!

I have one of the Sealey Tools, my local tool rep had a load in his van and I got it a lot less than the recomended retail.
Its good but you do need to make sure the wheel stud is at 12 oclock or it can slip round. Some alloy wheels on some older cars have the hole almost exactly the same size as the stud and it wont work on them but it works on 95% of wheels I have come across, it has made fitting the wheels on my Transit so much easier.

The adaptors look a bit tight for my Sportage wheels, so I wrote to Sealey, asking if the tool would fit Sportage wheels....

Reply from Sealey as follows:-

"We do not have vehicle details for this tool, measurements of file are:
The OD of the bolt adaptors

M12 – 10.4mm

M14 – 12.4mm

Nut adaptors

M12, OD 13.70mm ID 11.84mm

M14, OD 15.71mm ID 13.91mm

The internal stud hole diameter on my wheel (fitted with wheel nuts) measures at 13.69mm
The Sportage has wheel nuts!
I think that the thread size on mine is M12 x 1.5, soooooooooo, they may not/won't fit! Doh! Or do they????? It's pretty darned close! I'm tempted to go to a local stockist and try an adaptor in my spare and on the stud!

I can confirm that they do work on my Sportage wheels too. Yeahhh! My back feels better already and I have also solved the Christmas present problem for my son and son in law!!
