Question 75 Connoisseur wanted!

Hello - I hope someone can help me out. (I've had a 75 for a few years but need to replace it, thanks to a careless driver who crashed into it. )

I'm looking for a low mileage automatic high-spec 75 Connoisseur in excellent condition. Specifically, I'd like a black or dark blue one and would prefer the 1.8 engine. I'm in South London but will travel and have cash waiting for the right car.

If anyone's got one for sale or knows anywhere I could try, then I'd be really grateful. I tried Autotrader's website but couldn't see much...

Thanks!

Welcome to the club Al... You really need to put a 'Wanted' ad in the 'Wanted' section....you'll need to subscribe to do that....but at the cost of a couple of beers a bargain for all the help and info you'll receive in return....

Wecome to our club, You may have to sit and wait a while for one to turn up, as you know what colour you require you might end up waiting even longer

The car you are seeking is out there, Autotrader is where I found mine last year, the mileage was a bit higher to what I wanted but I fell for the car and I had the cam belts service to sort out, The dealer said it had full service history

But I knew that once I had this service done it would be ok for another 6 years

When looking at 75's you need to check out the service history and if the belts are due then you must get it taken off the asking price

I had every toy on my conni apart from the TV and was in very good nick

They are worth the wait when they come along

Have you had any luck in finding your new 75 yet?

Have since brought a Rover 216 SE coupe so my 75 spends it life in a garage, Least it safer there than being hit by another car and written off

I thought this too, but it turned out the other messages were saved in sent items......might be yours is the same?

I've just looked at your profile, it appears you don't have private messaging or email enebled in your control panel.....this might explain why !

Hi jonno.
Even if you enabled in your control panel to accept email & PM you would still not get any answer on the for sale thread, as that was stopped quite a few years back, as members were slating peoples cars for sale, and would criticize certain items on the cars and so on.

So as above your best chance is to enable your email & PM to acceptance then they would be able to PM or email you.
