No, just be ready to catch him as he flies past the gate.

Cool

Been out to lunch today, very unusual for me, but with Allen & Val. Went up to Louis Tea Rooms at Kitt Hill t’other side of Callington.

Whilst we was there we booked, and paid for, the Christmas meal for 15 of us on the 18th December.

Although sunny the wind did cut through you.

Back home with Quizzie.

I'm all dry but Quizzie is, of course, soaking wet as the mere 4 degrees wasn't enough to stop her from her usual swim.

Now she's settled in front of the fire, fast asleep - and I'm probably not far behind.

Jesus its wild here, worst I can remember, supposed to ease in the early hours. Blanket advisory from Police Scotland not to travel, train services north of Berwick on the east coast have been suspended. An stretch of the A1 about 20 miles away which is susceptible to wind has been closed after recording a gust of 84mph.

Dear God, I've never experienced a wind here like this one tonight. The garden is taking a battering, there's a huge heavy tub with a low bush in it, still upright but its been moved nearly two feet, dunno what I'll wake up to in the morning. Been out umpteen times due to stuff rattling along the path, think everything is tucked away now.

Tried to get the girls to go out for a pee for the third time. They get as far as the door, "I'm not going out there!".

Much noise with the wind tonight and heard a right racket amongst it in the back garden. So went out to investigate ~ 02.00 and found my shed blown apart.

Made things as safe as I could and recovered some stuff into the garage but it was really too dangerous to try to do anything at all. A good possibility of being flattened myself if the gale had flung anything at me. So a job of work to do come daylight when the wind drops significantly and the rain stops too.

Morning all.

We've obviously got away very lightly here in the Midlands as nothing particularly out of the ordinary overnight here.

It doesn't sound as bad a bit further South as our sons in the North East are OK.

For you guys and girls who are/have been affected take it carefully. There's no brownie points for getting yourself injured trying to sort out stuff that's been blown down.

It's just started snowing here. Proper big flakes - Quizzie will have a field day when we go out as she loves the stuff .
