Morning all, it is dry here at the moment, woke up to a frost though, niping out to do some chores in a moment, I have been on the phone to the insurance for the Dorchester, payment has been agreed, I then recieve a call from copart saying they are going to collect for salvage!!

I phone Hastings to discuss this, they put me through to copart?!? To say I am unhappy is an understatement, if anyone is with Hastings I would advise changing companies as their service when you make a claim is appauling.

Just been out to get the wheelie bins in before they disappear & by heck that wind is perishing.
Got to take the missus for an hospital appointment over at Wrightington hospital later.

Was going to go hunting curry paste today (jar of sauce I got yesterday was a bit rank ) but I think I'll postpone that due to the weather forecast, wind is supposed to build to 40-50mph with snow mid afternoon. Still need to go out, no food for the girls.

Good to see that the girls' need for food is more important than yours .

Little flurry of snow coming down, I need to pick the wee lad up from school, drop him off at Five Guys at the retail park and sit around for 45 mins.... I think a cheeky Greggs is in order, but before all that I need to clean his Guinea Pigs out.

If I only had money for either food for them or me I'd get food for them.

Only went to the nearest Coop, weather is lovely here now, bitterly cold, wind gusts getting stronger and very heavy sleety rain. I'm praying the birds don't empty the feeders, don't particularly want to have to go out to refill them.

Walking the girls is off the agenda today, strong wind and horizontal sleety rain. They wouldn't thank me, try to take them out in weather like that they just look at me "You're kidding, right?", struggle to get them to go out for a whizz never mind a walk

The outfit is a stain on the industry and it should be booted by everyone. It gave me a competitive quote in recent years only to try claw back as much cash as possible by hook or by crook. It waited for the policy to come in to force before bombarding me with additional demands and threats of extra charges. One of its demands was proof of no claims, said it could not obtain from my previous insurer the AA. Unfortunately for Hastings the AA time and date stamps an account every time it is accessed and when I contacted the AA about Hastings it confirmed that my account had not been accessed since the day it was set up. Clearly Hastings had never asked it for the proof as my account would have had to be accessed to obtain the required info. Hastings back peddled when I put this to it and very soon shifted its attempt to scam me on to a different point of order - which it ultimately failed on too. So, yes, I would never touch it with a telegraph pole and would NEVER EVER recommend Hastings to anyone.

Wind easing a bit apart from an occasional strong gust, still sleety rain though. Looks like I'm gonna have to refill the feeders.

That curry sauce last night was such a success that I washed it off the chicken that was left. Got some korma sauce and more chicken adding the chicken to that. If you're ever in the mood for a Thai green curry body swerve Tesco's own sauce
