Pleased to hear this. Fingers crossed he'll be back to his usual self very soon.

Another dull, grey start to the day but due to pick up and be sunny later.

Our local lake has come up a good couple of feet. The path I was walking on a few days ago is now underwater. Quizzie thought this was great as she could have a paddle before her swim .

Squirrels are now an established nuisance and have scoffed all the bird food . Quizzie is very keen to chase them off, but they cheat by climbing the fences and disappearing over the top .

Take care.

Cool

Morning all from here in wet Cornwall.

Took a couple of painkillers last night at about 9pm, and woke up about an hour ago.

False alarm the RAM sticks were jammed underneath the motherboard!!!!! Why they weren't clipped into place I don't know Works perfick but first job is to get rid of Windows 10 Pro & install a proper Linux OS on it.

Squirrels are now taking the mick.

Run off as soon as Quizzie hurtles out of the door and come back a couple of minutes later.

I think a more permanent solution is needed.

Morning everyone, a busy couple of days. One of the medications I am on cannot be supplied, a statin called Rosuvastatin. Fortunately I brought a spare supply from Kenya. I had to visit the GP practice to ask them to add my double vaccination certificate to my records as the NHS app does not allow this. When an elderly gentleman at front of the queue at the practice asked for an emergency appointment because of stomach pains, he was told “go home and wait by the phone until 6:30pm for one of the doctors to ring.”….I hope it’s something easily remedied.

Yesterday I was at the hospital seeing the surgeons to get the scan results and to discuss treatment. The aortic aneurysm is still within safety parameters and it doesn’t need repairs at the moment, what a relief….. The aneurysm in the right knee is 2mm off from needing a repair. The surgeon was a nice chap and said he is a specialist in aortic aneurysms, he wanted to reassure me that he is the right man for the job. I am to be scanned in 6 months or sooner if there is a problem. 5 years ago today, I had the bypass.

I have booked a preflight PCR test for next Friday 17th, same day result £200….a racket. On Sunday I will fly to Dublin, then another PCR test with same day result £70. On 20th, fly to Amsterdam and then onto Nairobi for Christmas and New Year, looking forward to seeing Jessica and sampling the tropics.

Morning Andy, in Nairobi we have green coloured squirrels living up in the eaves of the roof. The farm cats run up some trees behind the house and jump from the trees onto the roof to chase the squirrels away, it doesn’t always work. What about getting a cat to chase the squirrels away? The farm cats are useful for keeping the rats and mice away from the cow feed, they also the cats try and kill the moles. The cats live off eating lizards and vermin.
