Hi Tim.
Yes i tried this once and in the end i decided to do it the old way and remove the drum and adjust that way you can also clean out any rubbish build up in the drum Arctic.

Fitted the new compensator this evening - proved even more straightforward than I expected thanks to Arctic's very clear HowTo. Old one had stretched about 8mm.
The improvement in handbrake performance was obvious straight away - really well worth doing. My old compensator is now packed up and ready to be sent back on Monday morning. Many thanks to ARCTIC for this great mod

I bought a few from my local breaker, and sent them to Harry, who sent me a modified one in return.
I still have mine to do,but will have to wait until Inget the new boiler put in,before I fit it and return the original. Whilst on the subject,is it necessary to remove the front seats to undo the console screws? If not how do you get them,as the seat cushion blocks access?

No need to remove the front seats to take out the screws at the side of the console and no need to remove the console either, and you would need to send the compensator back to Harry as this would not have nothing to do with the stainless steel one i modify if you go to post 15 of this thread you will see how to fit the compensator somtimes its best to try and read though all the post even though they maybe long Arctic. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...4&postcount=15
