HI Mark.
A little bit more fiddly but if you use the right tool a long posidrive at least 30cm its easy even more so if you have someone whom can hold down the seats side bolster the next one i do i will have to take a few pics Arctic

Can only agree Steve, but not everyone has a foot long posidrive in their toolbox!

Quick thank you to all the members whom send back the old compensators to keep the modification flowing smoothly, this scheme is only working because of your help in returning the old compensators so they can be modifed for the next member i received four more yesterday from
jonjon77(15mm) phili12(13mm)RoryRover(13mm)RWShafto(14mm), all had stretched over the 5mm that is available on the adjustment at the handbrake front cable before the nut starts to bite into the shoulder of the front cable adjuster.

Which inturn renders the adjuster nut useless and it will not budge i have had three like this now one the cable snapped trying to remove it the two other we had to cut the cable once we had aquired a replacement cable, so try not to let your handbreak get to bad before you decide to change it. Hi Arctic

Thanks for confirming the old compensator arrived back with you safely.

This is a great mod and I am sure we all appreciate the effort you put into making the replacements for us.

I got one from Harry, and fitted it yesterday, but it only holds on the steep hills at 4 clicks, on not so steep ones it will hold at 3. Will adjusting the shoes again improve this?

For best results the shoes must be adjusted and balanced in both drums.Adjust the shoes so they bite and then slacken them off one notch so they both run smoothly. The adjustment then is made at the handbrake cable nut to the desired number of clicks you require.

Mine for instance is set for two clicks,a third can be achieved on a harder pull of the lever but is not necessary.
